EVERYDAY DISCRIMINATION Inventory I: Frequency
In real life, there are two sorts of discrimination: Major Discrimination (being assaulted because of your race is major) and Everyday Discrimination (being leered at because you are a woman is a more everyday experience). Research suggests that experiencing Everyday Discrimination, over time, may be more damaging to overall health and wellbeing than isolated incidences of Major Discrimination.
This 10-Question inventory is part I of II. Part II looks at the reasons for Everyday Discrimination.
Both parts are based on the work of David R. Williams and his colleagues at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
